To someone whom I’ve seen give the program all he’s got

Someone, in the program, passes you by with a smile
Immediately, you realize he’s no Alfred you – know – who
So you ask “Hey, let’s make a meeting or two”
As you recognize the determination this guy’s got going for him
It’s makes me wonder, HE’S SOMEONE WHO’S GOING TO WIN
Cause I’ve seen him give John Barleycorn the boot
When things were down, through thick and thin
He’s got that “foot in the door” 3rd step willingness,
And the 7th steps’ “desire to do God’s will” touch of humility
With the 12th steps’ “joy of living”
He carries the message and never stops giving
Well, that’s enough out of me
